Where does it come from
As it turns out Aloe vera is very sensitive to frost and for
that reason most commercial growth is done south of the Equator.
North of the Equator the most notorious producers are in the
'dust bowl' of Spain.
Due to worldwide climate change, particularly droughts,
producers like Australia for example have had significant
production drop-offs. Aloe vera plants that endure these
stresses can often be richer in aloin and emodin which can cause
cause problems in sensitive digestive tracts.

Aloe emodin can act as a laxative by increasing water
retention and mucus secretion in the large intestine. Aloe
vera crops surviving droughts can have much higher levels of
emodin and so have to be carefully screened. |
For that reason we perform routine laboratory tests on trial
processed harvests to make sure we use quality aloe. To date it
has been necessary for us to reject two such harvests. Our
Quality Control have high standards so we can keep bringing the
magic properties of aloe vera to your home.
